|
|
Hello,
New to these forums so hello and thanks in advance for any help offered.
I am a new user of Suse 10 (gnome version) and am having problems with Banshee mainly that I can't get it to work on a regular basis.
The one item I liked about Banshee was the ripper and player were integrated in one app, but more so that with Banshee I could rip OGG files at 320 bit rate.
I checked out Sound Juicer last night, but can't seem to figure out how to change the bit rate when it is ripping a music cd. I see the edit profiles section but can't figure out how to get the increased bit rate when ripping.
Thanks for any help.... |

In the profiles dialog, go to the very end of the pipeline where it says "quality=0.5". You can change it to a number between 0 and 1 (or maybe even more or less). Wikipedia has a list of what bitrates the quality values correspond to.

thanks for the help.
I made the change moving quality to -q9, but when I try to rip a cd the below error comes up:
Sound Juicer could not extract this CD.
Reason: Could not create GStreamer encoders for CD Quality, Lossy
I assume something is missing from my system?
thanks again |

I think you might have configured the profile of the ogg wrong. Try duplicating the profile with the setting "quality=0.5" and changing that line to "quality=0.9". It should work. _________________ Did you know the R$9,00 = US$3.00 |
