I would like to change the logon screen on fedora 12.
I tried to download a login windows file at http://art.gnome.org/themes/, it is a tar.gz file but I don't know what to do with it.

OK, in F12, gnome has changed to a GTK app. This means that all settings are done by GTK so there is no gdm-setup anymore. Try this:
