I like to create a lot of xterms (around 30) and then switch between them. The toolbar is GNOME isn't really suited for this because with that many xterms, it can't display the names of each one, and I ca't tell which is which.
I'd like a vertical list of xterms where I can set the name of each one, and have 30 characters of space to name them. twm used to do this nicely with the icon manager. If you know what I'm talking about with twm, is there any way to do the same basic thing in GNOME? Possibly use a different window manager than metacity, maybe?
Thanks in advance. |
